Silly Artist Stereotypes in Modigliani, the Movie

There is a scene in this silly, silly movie in which artists Modigliani, Picasso, Soutine, Utrillo & Rivera are all making paintings for a competition.
  1. All of the artists had mad inspiration.
  2. They were all painting in the dark.
  3. They were angrily throwing things in frustration, or grinning triumphantly.
  4. Women were either watching them adoringly or posing for them.
  5. Messy, messy, messy.
  6. All working on that one inspired work for the competition, like they would only paint when they had something to paint for.
One thing the movie did right was hire an actress to play Modigliani's common-law lady who looks just like a Modigliani painting.

Thinking of you in your studio, angrily throwing things in frustration, makes me giggle.
