Supporting local immigrant-owned businesses *updated*

I can't say for sure that these are all immigrant-owned, but I feel pretty confident about this list. Though I'm trying not to eat out so much lately, I'll be eating lunch at these places over the next couple of weeks:

  • The Little Tea Shop, 69 Monroe Ave
  • Cafe Med, 1817 Kirby Parkway
  • Casablanca, 5030 Poplar Ave and 1707 Madison Ave
  • Zam Zam's, 7706 Winchester Rd
  • Ali Baba Mediterranean Grill, 5800 Raleigh Lagrange Bartlett (This one is new to me.)
  • Jerusalem Market, 4794 Summer Ave
  • Al-Rayan, 288 N. Cleveland St
  • (with treats from) The Peanut Shoppe, 24 S. Main St
Thanks to everyone for sharing more ideas!

  • India Palace, 1720 Poplar Ave
  • Saffron Indian Restaurant, 3810 Hacks Cross Rd
  • Mayuri Indian Cuisine, 6524 Quince Rd
  • Golden India Resaurant, 2097 Madison Ave
  • Las Tortugas Deli Mexicana, 1215 S Germantown Rd
  • Ethiopian Restaurant and Coffee, 8195 Dexter Rd
  • Queen of Sheba, 4792 Summer Ave
  • Cedars Restaurant, 694 N Germantown Pkwy
  • Habesha Ethiopian Restaurant, 6195 Macon Rd
  • Abyssinia Ethiopian Restaurant, 2600 Poplar Ave
  • Arepas Deliciosas, 3698 Summer Ave
  • Blue Nile, 1788 Madison Ave
  • Sabor Caribe, 662 Madison Ave
  • New Orleans Seafood Market, 942 EH Crump Blvd (former owners of Saigon Le)
  • Phuong Long, 306 N Cleveland St
  • Tacos Los Jarochos, 4900 Summer Ave
  • Casbah Restaurant, 1890 N Germantown Pkwy
  • Tycoon Asian Noodle Shop, 3307 Kirby Parkway
What else can we add to this list?

Queen of Sheba, on Summer in the space that used to be Edo. The best tea I've ever tasted. (Casablanca is a close second.)
